Our specialists are available for consultation, design, and materials specification for noise control in architectural, residential, commercial and industrial applications.
When you call City Soundproofing for a solution, one of our specialists will speak to you in language that you can understand. We'll explain why you're experiencing the noise problems you are, and before you hang up, you'll have a better understanding of what's going on and what it's going to take to significantly reduce those problems.
Today you will find many noise control consultants, who evaluate your problem, give you a twenty page print out that you can't understand, take your check, and tell you, " We don't do any actual work, you need to go find a soundproofing company for that, somebody qualified".
City Soundproofing is qualified, we provide "one stop shopping". We evaluate the issues with an on site consultation, recommend, supply, and install the products needed to fix your problem.
Welcome to City Soundproofing!
Mason Wyatt
With 40 years construction experience and 10 years in the recording industry, including providing acoustical solutions for all types of noise control applications since 1996, Mason Wyatt has a unique perspective on noise control.
Teleconferencing, distance learning, broadcasting and recording environments have been the focus during the currently developing era of e-communications.
Mason has participated in the development of many teleconferencing centers, distance classrooms, conference rooms, home theaters, recording studios, rehearsal spaces, auditoriums, several large performing arts venues, clubs and restaurants. He has assisted in building or improving many acoustically sensitive rooms, studios, and broadcasting spaces, as well as facilities at numerous universities and local, state and federal sites.
Michael Muller
After a sound check at Paris' "Stade" in July of 2006, Michael Muller was asked for his opinion on how to improve the arena's poor sound quality. Based on his involvement with City Soundproofing, he suggested hanging baffles and high density sound panels. The owner was amazed when Michael handed him his City Soundproofing card.
Michael offers City Soundproofing clients a different and unique perspective on noise and sound. Michael's professional experience lies mostly in sound engineering, performance, and recording.
When offered the opportunity to join the staff of City Soundproofing, Michael, already knowing many principles of the noise control industry, was excited by the prospect of aiding customers with their sound abatement issues. As many customers have already observed, Michael is more than capable of understanding the concerns of clients. He can walk into a venue and carefully and thoughtfully recommend the best methods and materials needed to solve unwanted noise issues.
Michael's years of experience as a successful touring musician have put him in numerous critical acoustical environments. Performing in venues ranging from small clubs to concert halls has exposed him to a variety of noise control applications that vary from loss of clarity and speech intelligibility to intrusive noise from sources outside the listening environment.
Michael has been an accomplished songwriter, sound engineer, and producer for over twenty-five years. His experience in recording studios has further enhanced his capability in settings that are "all about listening." This variety of studio and recording experience provides an expert listener's viewpoint. Better spaces tend to be more expensive to record in for good reasons—the good stuff costs a bit more but it's worth it! Critical listening environments require a combination of low reverberation time with just the right amount of ambience without intrusive noise from outside sources. The walls and ceilings need to be properly designed and equipped with absorption, diffusion, and noise transmission abatement. The best studios are isolated from external noise sources and are most often "floated" or "rooms within rooms."
Chris Douthit
Chris Douthit has been an audio professional for 25 years. He has acoustically outfitted three of his own recording studios and has taken part in numerous installations involving 5,6.7:1 surround sound systems. Chris says, "Being familiar with acoustic materials is essential for finding the best solutions with modern day sound anomalies. Many of the techniques have just been invented in the last 10 years."
Chris, who has been a part of the "Acoustical Sound Evolution," enjoys his home at City Soundproofing. Recognizing his considerable experience, as well as his solid work ethic and record of reliability, City Soundproofing endorses Chris Douthit as a sure point man to handle all your acoustical and audio needs.
