Automatic Door Bottoms - New Low Closing Force Models

• New smoother action positive seal mechanism. All our automatic door bottoms consist of an aluminum case which surrounds a movable drop bar seal. The drop bar seal is actuated by a plunger which contacts the jamb as the door is closing, forcing the drop bar seal down against the floor threshold. The simple yet practical engineering of the mechanism includes the following features:
• When plunger contacts jamb, drop bar seal actuates from multiple compression points.
• The plunger requires low "FeatherTouch^TM" closing force to actuate the drop bar seal. The "L" at the end of all product numbers stands for Low closing force. All our automatic door bottoms will meet pending closing force legislation and codes.
• The drop bar seal actuates on the hinge side first (see illustration below).
• All models (except #420) include new "tri-finned designed" seals (see photograph right) which are offered in 2 materials: soft closed cell sponge neoprene (R) which remains pliable down to -70¡F and PemkoPrene thremo-plastic rubber (PK).
• Even over uneven surfaces, these gaskets provide an excellent seal to keep out draft, dust, moisture, insects, fumes, light, and sound. For the best seal, use a threshold in conjunction with all our automatic door bottoms.
• All models (except#430and #412) are non-handed and reversible. Installation is fast and easy because disassembly is not required to change handing: simply flip the automatic door bottom, and you've reversed the hand. The clean symmetrical square-shaped case design also provides for even flush mounting.
• The line includes models which can be mounted to either wood or hollow metal doors.
• End plates are provided for all mounting applications (see illustrations at bottom of this page).
• All our automatic door bottoms seal up to a 3/4" gap under the door.
• Available in any net size ranging from 18" to 72".
• All models can be trimmed down by up to 2".
• All our automatic door bottoms are patent pending and proudly made in the U.S.A.
