Qwyatt Noise Control offers a most complete line of pad type mountings which provide excellent high frequency sound attenuation and can be used effectively to prevent shock and vibration transmission in non-critical installations.

For vibration isolation they are primarily limited to medium and high speed equiment, and are generally economical only with light and medium weight equipment. Heavier capacity pad mountings approach the cost of more efficient steel spring isolators.

Our new Qwyatt Maxi-Flex Neoprene Pads are molded in standard size sheets - 18" x 18" x 3/4" thick (457 x 457 x 19 mm) consisting of 2" (51 mm) square segments.

These segments are separated by a thin web that can easily be cut to fit required loading and shape of equipment base. They provide excellent high frequency sound attenuation and can be used effectively to prevent shock and vibration transmission in non-critical installations.

Qwyatt Maxi-Flex Pads are available in four color coded loading types (Black is Standard), which will satisfy a wide range of load/defection requirements.

Typical Loading Calculation Example Using Standard (black) Qwyatt MaxiFlex:

Load is 1000 lbs., capacity of 2"
square segments is 180 lbs.,
therefore 1000 ÷180 = 5.56 segments,
use any combination of 6 segments
(1 x 6 or 2 x 3).
Metric
Load is 453 kg., capacity of
51 mm x 51 mm square segment is 81 kg.,
therefore 453 ÷ = 5.59 segments,
use any combination of 6 segments (1 x 6 or 2 x 3)

For increased deflection, Qwyatt Maxi-Flex Pads can be stacked with 16 guage (1.6 mm) shims separating the layers.






QwyattQwyatt Shear-Flex Neoprene Pads

Qwyatt Shear-Flex is a resilient cross-ribbed pad molded in high quality oil-resistent neoprene elastomer. It is available in three durometers for standard, light and heavy duty applications. Qwyatt Shear-Flex is molded 3/8" thick in standard size sheets 18" x 36" and 18" x 18".

ALTERNATELY RAISED RIBS

Exclusive feature provides effective vibration isloation over entire load range of 20 to 100 psi. Only the alternate ribs are engaged under light loads.

NO BOLTING

The exceptional gripping qualities of Qwyatt Shear-flex eliminate the need for bolting or cementing in most installations. Adhesive is available for applications having severe horizontal thrust.

EASY TO USE

Simply cut Qwyatt shear-Flex pad lsightly larger than leg or bearing plate of machine using shears or knife. If load on square inch of pad area exceeds recommended load use Qwyatt Flex Plates.

MULTIPLE LAYERS

Qwyatt Shear-Flex may be used in multiple layers to increase deflection. Available pre-assembled cut to specified size and with steel plates cemented between layers.






Qwyatt Shear-Flex Plates

Especially designed for use under concentrated loads where loading exceeds available bearing area of Qwyatt Shear-flex Pads and where machine base is provided with jack screws.

NO BOLTING REQUIRED

Type A consists of a steel bearing plate bonded between a floor-gripping Shear-Flex pad and a non-skid, machine-griping layer of oil-resistant corrugated neoprene.

IF BOLTING IS PREFERRED

Type B is furnished with an islation washer and a 3/4" free hole in the center of the plate. Other hole size and location furnished upon request.

FOR MACHINES WITH JACK SCREWS

Type C makes use of machines own leveling arrangement. Has an extra-thick steel plate and a counter-bored hole in the center of the plate to prevent shifting of the machine leveling bolt.

Qwyatt Cork-rib Pads

Qwyatt Cork-Rib is a laminated pad having 1/2" thick close-grained cork core securely bonded between two layers of 1/4" think waffle design oil-resistant neoprene. This combination provides the highest degree of sound attenuation and vibration isolation attainable in a pad type mounting. Qwyatt Cork-Rib is 1" thick and is available in sheets of 24" x 36", 18" x 36", and 18" x 18". Smaller size pads are also available on request. Recommended loading for Standard Cork-Rib is 50 psi, and for Heavy Duty Cork-rib 100 psi.

Qwyatt Cork-Flex Pads

Qwyatt Cork-Flex Pads (Machinery Cork) are strong and durable resilient boards made of pure granules of cork, compressed and baked under pressure and accurately controlled density. Qwyatt Cork-Flex Pads resist oil, water and acids normally encountered in commercial and industrial applications. Standard sheet size is 12" x 36" and stocked in Standard and Heavy Densities.

Qwyatt Fabri-Flex Isolation Pads

Qwyatt Fabri-Flex Isolation Pads consist of multiple layers (64 plies to 1") of the highest quality cotton duck weighing 8.1 oz./sq.yd., impregnated and bound together by a specially formulated elastomer compound. 1,000 psi loading capability provides shock and vibration isolation under extremely heavy loads. Available in stock thicknesses 1/8" to 1".







Qwyatt Fabri-Flex Washers

Qwyatt Fabri-Flex Isolation Washer are manufactured of the same high quality material used in Qwyatt Fabri-Flex Isolation Pads and then cut into standard size washers. These isolation washers are designed to eliminate metal to metal contact between steel bolting and steel bearing plates. They are stocked in bolt sizes 3/8" to 1" in 1/8" and 1/4" thicnesses.
